Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that has a unique ability to bind water. It keeps your body tissues soft, hydrated and flexible. Hyaluronic acid is steadily lost as we age. Natural hyaluronic acid in the body quickly forms and degrades in 24-48 hours. To make the hyaluronic acid in Restylane Skinboosters last longer, for several months or even a year, degradation is delayed by cross-linking the hyaluronic acid molecules. How is the treatment performed?
Dr. Nadine delivers microdroplets of product beneath the skin using a cannula (a flexible, blunt-ended tube). Using a cannula is a more comfortable technique and yields less bruising than using a needle. Restylane Skinboosters treatments infuse a thin layer of microdroplets of stabilized hyaluronic acid beneath the skin surface to provide long-term deep hydration from within. Skin smoothness and hydration improves throughout the course of treatment.
How many treatments do I require?
A course of three treatments each four weeks apart are recommended for optimum results. Results last 9- 12 months. A maintenance treatment every 6 months is advised to upkeep skin hydration and elasticity.
